Overview of Final Fantasy VII Crisis Core

Final Fantasy VII Crisis Core is a prequel to Final Fantasy VII, which has the main character as one that hasn't really been given much focus in past installments; Zack Fair. It helps to give players of Final Fantasy VII a better understanding of the events which lead to the story in the game, and introduces some new elements which were previously unknown.

The gameplay has gone away from the RPG element of gameplay, although some parts of the genre are still intact. It is more similar to Kingdom Hearts than a main series installment though. Many have labelled this game as the saviour of the Playstation Portable as it helped to significantly boost dwindling sales after its release in Japan and Sony are hoping it will have the same impact elsewhere when it is released.
